I have a copy of clone dvd2 and it has been working fine. Today when I tried to make a copy of a dvd when I started it up I got the microsoft error message saying an error was encountered and it shuts clone dvd2 down and asks if I want to send microsoft a message. Anyway, I can't run this program because this error message shuts it down before I can even start running the program. Any suggestions? I tried to reboot but that didn't help either.HELP!!!

well....... if this is a legitimate program that you paid for from Slysoft.com then I suggest you go to the website and redownload the program and reinstall it! If this is a pirated version of CloneDVD2...... then what do you expect! Many times this happens to illegal copies of programs!

This is a legal copy and I have my registration number also. I just wanted to know if there is something causing this. I have had this for several years and never have had a problem until now. I don't believe in pirating copies when someone spent the time to make the program.

the reason why I mentioned this because usually a pirated copy will act up eventually! If you bought it then go to Slysoft.com and maybe downloading the up to date version will solve your problem! good luck.

do a clean reinstall

uninstall it
run ccleaner and a couple registry tools
do a disc cleanup and defrag
then reinstall the program

that should do it

This happened to me as well yesterday. After I installed the latest update; it works just fine. I am just guessing, but I think it had something to do with the auto update feature in the program.
