Hi,

i have a seagate 320gb sata 3.5 hard drive that was working perfectly fine on my desktop computer as a secondary drive for storage. it has 2 partitions that were both being used to store things. one had a bunch of games and the other just for software. my friend wanted a few games so i decided to bring it over to his house and add it into his desktop since it transfers faster than using a usb external enclosure. he has 2 120 gb seagate drives apparently running raid (i dont even know what it really does).. so i decided to use one of the extra sata slots he had and hooked my hd up to it.

well it didnt even show up on his computer for the first 2 restarts then he showed up as one partition. 111gb identical to his raid one but i cant assess any of the files it just says drive cannot be assessed when you try to go into it.

he later tells me that one of the hardrives stopped running raid or it didnt work somehow (how convinient).. i go home and pop it into my enclosure and connect it to my desktop (running vista 32 enterprise) and it doesnt work. it gave my computer the blue screen every time it was in. so i go to my gf's house and pop the enclosure in and it actually started reading the drive. it now has 1 partition and a load of unlocated space. the 1 partition is identical to my friend's raid hard drive with vista 64 and all the os stuff that came with it.. even the games he later installed.

i cant seem to format it.. and i dont know what to do to get my hard drive space back and functioning properly. is my hard drive in raid mode or whatever the heck that is?? its completely identical to my friend's!! is that because his other one wasn't working properly so when i pop in mine.. it recognized a working one and decided to raid it?

help!!!!!!

For those too lazy to read all of that.. my problem is i think my friend's computer raid my hard drive and now i can't format or do anything with it...all my stuff is lost too. what can i do?
