I'm very sorry if my exact question might have being asked before, but I am in urgent need for a solution.

I purchased a copy of 2124 6 months ago..3 months ago my disk snapped in half(dont ask),however I do have a backup of the disc,my only problem is I cant get the game to play.

Originally to get the game to play without the disc,I used a 1.25 no dvd which worked awsome until 1.4 came out,and the 1.4 no dvd does not work what so ever.Everytime I load a map and press start the game quits to desktop.

What I'd like to know,is if anyone can link me to a 1.4 no dvd that actually works(the one that I have just crashes the game in sp and mp)?

If not,I've heard about virtual drives. Then could anyone link me to a guide that YOU HAVE USED AND KNOW WORKS so that I may play the game.

Thanks alot.

Discussions of cracked execuatbles , and linking to such is
prohibited here.

Problem is there are protections on the disc,
That you did not emulate properly.
Obviously your COPY will install the game BUT not run it,
Becaiuse the game checks the authenticity of the disc,
Before the game will run,
A run of a r'ay -scanner' on the original can and will determine
the protections on the disc.
You can then re-rip and re-burn using the protection settings detected,
Under Alcohol 120% to burn selecing the noted protections.

But your original is destroyed and all you have is the backup
you made, So you cant try to re-burn it with the correct emulation.

There is a program called 'Game Jackal' that can eliminate the
need for disc's for almost any game.
That was and is what I use on a regular basis, for my games that
would require the disc to be inserted to play.

However , normally you would need the original or an exact 1:1
copy that has the correct data/encryption for game jackal to work.
If you had that on your backup, you would be needing cracks and such.

As far as a virtual drive, yes you can mount an image of the game , and
use that to play, but again it has to be the original , or a 1:1 exact copy,
Or else the game will not run,

Which you do not have because it broke, and your backup wont work,
because when the game check the disk to see if its valid , it wont
accept it,

Good luck , and please be wary of your posting as piracy,
And cracked material is not allowed here.

I understand with the whole piracy junk, but I'm not commiting piracy. As long as I purchased a bf2142 andhave the original disc which i do(although in two pieces) I am well within my legal righst to make one backup fo teh disc.To add to this, you NEED a cd0key to play the game online,so even if I was pirating,I could make a 100 copies of teh game and they'd all be useless,so indeed for thsie particular game,no piracy could ever be involved.

Now that that is sorted,I see that I'm pretty much screwed with my original disc broken,so my only option is to wait for someone to make a no dvd thatworks(could be months) or just give up on 2142...
