The difference being the "2" after PC. Does it make any difference? The crucial website gave me that result for the ram I needed, but the only site I can buy off of is http://www.komplett.ie living in Ireland, and they only have DDR2 PC-5300. Any ideas anyone?

Same thing. PC2 or PC, they're both the same RAM, 5300 speed is only available in DDR2 form.
