I just bought a new Plextor drive (my old one went belly up) and have been ripping some new mp3's. I rip them in Secure mode to an image file first before I rip it into .wavs and .mp3s.

Anyways, even on brand new discs, never been played, right from the shrinkwrap to the drive, I get suspicious position on almost every disc.
What gives? It's always within the first minute of the disc.


As a side note, is this one of those new "not made by Plextor, Plextors"?

Why does every file I make that is Track One of a CD start with a 'pop'?
Anyway to fix this in EAC?
