IRshell is a replacement shell that runs over the Sony XMB that allows you to do what you want to do. You have to be running a Custom Firmware that utilizes the 1.5 Kernel.(I think) I have 3.80 M33 and I'm using IRshell version 3.9 Just search for it in google
