Problems burning with new EVGA 780i mobo

I purchased and installed a new EVGA 780i chipset motherboard. I had switched from the Abit IP35 Pro so I could eventually use SLI. Everything worked great with the Abit. The problem I'm getting with the new EVGA board is burning dvd's. I can copy disc to disc with no problems or if it is a disc without encryption. The issue I'm having is burning dvd's. I have the correct software for the tasks and it goes through its routine of copying,writing and finalizing,etc. When the disc finishes it says the operation completed successfully, but the problem I get is that when I go to play it, my dvd players can't read the disc. I even have one dvd player that locks up. I have to power it down and back up to get the disc out of it. I've tried different brand name media and I always burn at slower speeds. The only thing I can come up with to try is to put on a different ide and sata cable or buy a new burner. My burner is a Pioneer dvr-110d. Any ideas would be appreciated. This burner worked great with all my previous boards until now. Thanks

does the disc to disc with no encryption play on a dvd player?

and a ripped dvd burnt does not?

got any log reports say from nero?
