Nero8 halting while transcoding menu

Hi, I have recently upgraded to Nero 8. I have installet all the newest patches (yesterday).

I was just about to en a project with editing movies of my children to DVD formats.

Everything seems fine. The menu works in the "preview" state before you elect to burn the project.

I select to burn the project unto Neros virtual dvd burner.

The process begins, but halts when "preparing menu X for transposing". Its the last menu (so it should really begin to convert the movies after the menu is ready). It always halts at the same place.

Before you ask me to put any logs up here, it doesnt report any error so no log is created. It just halts and stays in this state (I let it run for 8 hours). The computer is really active all the time even though nothing happens.

Does anybody have any ideas?
