I have a pirated copy of Windows XP and have not installed any updates, so it's "clean." If I upgrade the OS to Vista using a legitimate copy, will I be able to get all of the benefits without having to worry about Microsoft's Genuine Advantage? In other words, would my OS become legit?
OMFG!!!!!!!! "If I upgrade the OS to Vista using a legitimate copy" If it is a legitimate then of course he will be be legit. jeez, which pond did you crawl out from??
I am guessing someone who is indoctrinated to M$ and nothing else.
no updates on his"cracked XP", you leave yourself open to all sorts of nasties both from M$ and the outside world. Guys like you are food and drink to M$, Gates must be rubbing his hands in glee (tho the cost of this one copy will just about buy him another tie). And anyways, why are you paying for an OS that is riddled with DRM, asks you 15 times are you sure you want to do something etc etc?????
I used to be dependant on M$, now i use Linux. All free, learn something new every day, and can do everything i did on M$ without hacks, cracks or a lot of bulls**t.
I would hate to see your face when presented with an Ubuntu screen...........

First of all, you need to chill out and stop assuming that people only use Windows. Second, I'm a Linux user, and I use Ubuntu. The only reason why I'm going with Windows is because that's what the real world uses, and there's no way around it. If it wasn't for that .NET framework, I wouldn't be using Windows.
