backup ps1 games to hdd with hda

I was wondering how to backup ps1 games to my hdd, I can use a computer if thats how its done or how do I use hda because when I try to backup crashbandicoot it says disk inserted is not a valid playstation2 disk!, how do I get a ps1 game backuped?

not possible. all hd programs are for ps2 games only. you must use the ps1 game disc, so you will either need breaker pro or gameshark 2 v2 ps1 disc, and a slidecard/fliptop.
