My ps2 can not read my back up dic.

I use alcohol 120 to back up Dynasty Warrior 5 game. My comp is pretty fast w/ 1g memory. I have a mod chip on my ps2
When i put the back up game in ps2, it loads BUT the tv screen stop and blinking " There is no memory card. Do you want to continuse w/out saving game. yes or no".
Well i dont have a memory stick so i dont know it is the memory stick or not.
I can not click X or O button or even move right or left.
I got a few games like that also.
A few other games like Capcom vs .. is working.
Is this common?
What do u think?
My iso is bad? download a new one?
My ps2 is bad? get swap dic instead of mod chip?
My memory is bad? plug in a memory stick so it doesnt ask?
....
...
suggestions plz or something that helps me w/ this problem.

the only thing i can think of is if whoever put in your modchip put it in wrong or something. i have dynasty warriors 5 and it works fine. also i use swapmagic maybe you should try that a time or two and see if your system is working better. if not you may even need to go as far as buying a new ps2.
