I tried the internet 2 and 3 settings and neither work. oone says "connection failed" and the other says "gprs not subscribed" I have the $19.99 plan through t-mobile. what can I do? T-mobile doesn't know anything about this phone, so they are no help...

Hi shrodes and everyone,

Last week I setup my internet connection.(Be prepared for "Mobile internet" cheaper than sidekick browsing)I called t-mobile to setup my internet connection. I was getting "gprs not subscribed" was because 'we sidekick 3 people have an unlimited data plan' which needs to be changed to regular unlimited internet plan.Once you speak to t-mobile, tell them to switch your data plan to a regular unlimted internet plan(cost $19.99).Once they do that they will guide you through the process(*remember not all reps. are smart, some will be like wtf*)....

These are the exact settings that i placed on my phone

Create Data Account
1. Select Menu
2. Select Entertainment
3. Select Services
4. Select Data Account
5. Select GPRS
6. Choose an empty profile
7. Account Name enter T-Mobile Internet
8. Press Options
9. Press Done
10. APN enter internet2.voicestream.com
11. Press Options
12. Press Done
13. User Name >Leave Blank<
14. Password >Leave Blank<
15. Auth. Type choose Normal
16. Press Done
17. Press Save

Create Profile
1. Select Menu
2. Select Entertainment
3. Select Services
4. Select WAP
5. Select Setting
6. Select Edit Profile
7. Select a profile
8. Choose Edit Profile
9. Rename Profile enter T-Mobile Internet
10. Homepage enter www.tmobile.com
11. Data Account select GPRS
12. Select T-Mobile WAP
13. Connection Type select HTTP
14. Proxy Address enter 216.155.165.050
15. Port enter 8080
16. User Name >Leave Blank<
17. Password >Leave Blank<
18. Press Done
19. When prompted to SAVE please select Yes
20. Select Activate Profile
21. When prompted to Activate Profile please choose Yes
22. Press Done

dachica69: pretty good write up, I just have to add That There is no such a thing as regular or unlimited plan, maybe you're talking about Tzone plan, By the way i did test 19.99 internet plan and i cant open bigger web pages like i used to with my sidekick II. So i think ill just change my service to Tzones, I belive its 9.99 a monthh or less. Enough to access yahoo email etc...

Ok I did changed to Tzones, it is 5.99 a month and you can access web, all you have to do just go thru Tzones/hit options and enter new address. 19.99 a month its wortless i think.

Thats for tmobile customers using CECT p168

Hello everyone. I have the CECT P138 and was also getting the GPRS not subscribed message. I tried the steps listed here and nothing worked. I called T-Mobile and after several transfers, I was sent to a department called Tiers 3 or Peers 3 (couldn't tell which one the man said because he had a heavy accent). Anyway, he had to send the T-Zone data to my phone because my SIM was showing nothing. After that, I was prompted through text to install a new item, he then sent a picture message that was supposed to display a red T and it did when I opened it. After that we went through the steps listed on this site that say to create a profile and all that other stuff. Everything now works with the exception of yahoo mail.
Hope this helps some of you. If anyone knows why yahoo mail won't work, please let me know.

I don't know if the settings will work on your Sk3.When I bought the Cect p168 my mentality was hmm(i said to my self --->i need a break from my constant IM's,emails, phone ...and i also think that -->"how cool it would be if we we'rent sucking the tit of the phone carriers...DUDE!I hate that we are limited to so because it's not fair that we get sucked into it ....we like a phone therefore we need to go through the hassel of changing phone carrriers....?and for what? to sometimes receieve poor quality service and a cool phone???hahah I know! freakin LAME! Arghh!!!! "....In conclusion if your a text, email, and pretty much a phone dependant fiend , don't get this phone.I got bored of it after 1 1/2 months...(if your looking to dive into the phone lingo + and looking for a hobby ...get this phone if you want to become a bit more knowledgeable about phones and the way they work...ect..........

Pros: You get to chat(on forums)and read and read way too many of them(forums) / meet phone enthusiast.

Cons: If your the kind of person that sleeps w/ your phone on your body......and you get a text msg...chances are that you have to open your eyes to text!!I know !CRAZY!. ....I've had my sk3 for about 2years.....and if your like me you definately want something that doesn't cut you off from you 'busy life style'....=) Enough say...like I've say before..

Can't wait for the "GPHONE" !!!!download the software and develope something unique! FYI I'm still stocked on the NEW NETWORK BAND !!! it will be running on 700MHz aka "WHITE SPACE"....FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

how do I get into my MMS? More precisely, how do I delete the messages when it says that I don't have any in my inbox/outbox? It says in the pop up that there isn't enough MMS storage. In the memory status it says there are 5/100 for usage, 120K for used space, and 0 Bytes for free space. I only sent 1 MMS message and I have 1 missed MMS.

And another thing, when I turn off my phone and turn it back on the screen says "quota usage warning" or something like that and has a timer. I click ok and I am able to access my phone. But how do I make that stop coming up?
