I installed nero 8 and now internet videos don't work

ever since i installed nero 8 on vista and now i can't watch any videos from the internet that use a program like windows media player, when i click to play the videos, the page comes up that says unable to display web page than it has the options like the adress is wrong and stuff, but i know that isn't the problem because no videos anywhere will play so i was hoping someone knew how to fix this because i haven't been able to watch any vids since installing nero.

I asked this on this forum before and was told to download a codecs pack, which i did but it didn't work so...
