i would like to convert my mkv's that r subs i ues "Any Video Converter" but when i did that i lossd the subtitles can so one help me out?

You can extract the subs before converting the files.
If they are .srt they are saved as a separate file with the new AVI.

I think AlltoAvi allows conversion with the subs in the MKV container.
