Wifi for the M3 DS Simply?!?

I am playing animal crossing on the actual game and then there is the animal crossing on the M3 Ds and I'm trying to visit the other town on the M3 but it will not allow me to.

Do I have to register my M3 under a different user name to the wifi connection and how do I do that? Please help? Thanks!
