Hi,

Much like all the other owners of the Slim PSP & component cables, I found that despite video playback being full-screen (UMD movies) games get letter-boxed and bordered like crazy (using only about 40-50% of the TV Screen). There is a homebrew fix for homebrew apps, but it requires re-compilation of the code, and not that many have been re-built (that I could find).

Does anyone know what the latest situation with this is? Was this added to the custom firmware? Is it even possible to add this to the firmware? I am currently running 3.71 M33-4, and haven't really had any motivation to go up to 3.90 (maybe the Skype functionality...). However, if it fixes the TV Full-screen issue, I will be all over it.

Any one?

hey wasup.

when it comes to the issue of tv out for the psp i'm kinda surprised that dark alex hasn't found a way to implement it into his custom firmwares. i don't mean to complain though cause i love his work. i've only found two things that support tv out as of now. one is the doom game and the other is a beta gba emulator. beyond that i'm just sitting and waiting till i can play my games full screen at 720. i was really surprised at how clear Doom was. every single nasty texture in sharp detail with few lines. i'm starting to think that psp games at 720 resolution could rival what the ps2 does. i know those games run at progressive scan but i believe more so that sony is just crippling their product so that the ps2 market is unaffected or rivaled. you could test my assumption. besides that i just want to know what other games you have found that are rebuilt with the feature, cause i gotta try em.

ive got to second __666__.
im DYING to play MPO on a screen i can efficiently shoot someone in the head on. even full 480p would be nice.
i dont think theyll lose any potential new ps2 owners over it, its not like they tout the slims video out anyway.

i want that sixaxis adapter out too. dizam.
