UXcell glacier problem cant automaticly find usb driver,

whenever i connect the usb w/ the mp4player it says if i want to automaticly find the driver for it, i say yes and it goes into another screen "driver Software instalation" but all it says is "Pending" after the "USB 2.0 (HS) flash disk". this has happend before with my guitar hero controller on my computer, it seems that norton antivirus was blocking it. but i have uninstalled norton and now this software isnt working. can someone help me???
