hi, i have a PAL console and i use a wiikey with pal firmware 1.9g and i only play PAL games. I have Resident evil 4 which i burnt to dvd but it seems to have a black banner down the side and its a bit blurry. If you look close you can see faint lines going down the image like an old tv would have. It looks like it has been squashed a bit.
I have a widescreen tv. Nintendo games seem to work fine, perfectly centered and crystal clear.
Does anyone know why this could be?
There are a few other games that do this as well, like zack and wiki, seems to have a bit cut off the top.

I use dvd-r 16x verbatims and i have a NEC 350A writer.

Either the graphics are supposed to be blurry (highly ulikely, but shouldn't be ruled out), but concerning the black bar? The only feasable option that I can come up with is that it is a bad dump, or that you may need to burn at a slower speed. Try using imgburn (if you don't do so already).

earlier i just re writen SMG and resident evil to verbatims(better discs)
i wrote them both at exactly the same speed 16x and SMG was perfect and resident evil wasnt. ;/ does anyone else have resident evil like this ?
the game was from a popular site, i doubt it would be a bad dump
Oh yeah and earlier i downloaded a ntsc version and it went all wierd at the top and bottom which is expected BUT it still had that band down the left hand side. and this was a completly different dump.
A nice idea but i dont think it could be

My only other guess is that your Wii settings are a bit messed up...
