I had my PS2 for some time and now I want to mod it so I can get more out of it. I am planning to use the hard drive method. I know about the HD advance and needing a hard drive(of course).

How do I get a hard drive and what type?
Where can I get HD Advance?
Do I need a Network Adapter and how much would it be?
Can I, and if yes, how do I put PS2 games and emulators on the hard drive?
Do I need to format the hard drive in a specific way before using it for the PS2?

This and more would be awesome. Thanks.

I would go with a Maxtor myself. I have a 300GB ide hdd. Your PS2 needs to be a V11 or under for Network adapter and hdd, and if its a V12 or V13 you need a special hdd connecter or hdcombo for it too work.
Yes you need a network adaptor, I paid $35 for mine, and I have known people to pay 35 pounds for one in the uk.
Installation of network adapter and hdd.
You can search ebay or online for one. Sometimes stores that sell PS2 have network adapter.
You can buy hdvance or hdloader online.
How to use WinHIIP 1.7.6 to install backups on the hdd and connect to your pc before using it in the PS2.
