I've always used DVD Decrypter to back up my PS2 games. Combined with Swap Magic 3.8 Coder, I've been able to play all of my games without any error or noticeable lag. However, I've recently bought DVDFab Platinum. The cloning feature "claims" to make a complete 100% duplicate by copying a disc bit-by-bit. If a program, such as DVDFab, could copy a DVD on a physical level, i.e. sector-by-sector, would these eliminate the need for Swap Magic to play backed up games?? Thanks in advance for any help.

Just stick with how you are doing it.
DVDFab is just for Videos, not for PS2 games. Sorry,It won't work.
Sorry, I make perfect backups using the Nero Process. Have you ever tried that? To me, it just seems alot faster, and I never had a problem using that method, besides a few hard-headed games that give me problems, but its rare!
Try that method
Thats great you use Nero, but that wasn't what CrazyKid3 had asked.
He was asking if you read, about DVDFab, as it has a cloning feature and would it eliminate the use of Swap Magic.
The answer is no, as the PS2 would still know it was a backup.
