Nero Burning Cd DVD error message

I have Nero 6.0 Burning software. I am having issues burning cd-r dvdrw. I have tried other burning softwares with the same problem. I get an error message while I am burning a cd-r or dvdr saying burning cancel after 20% 40% and this is the error log message that I get. Could someone please help me.

I get this error message. It burned one cd fine and then this message came up. I cannot update the firmware because I keep on getting burn process failed error message on my burner to burn a copy of the CD. Is there anything else that I could do to save it on a usb

This error message occasionally appears when burning CD-Rs or CD-RWs in Nero. This is a hardware error that occurs when a drive is not capable of following a data track on a CD-R or CD-RW.

Yes, it's an HP machine. The reason I cannot update the firmware is that I need to save the fireware on a floppy or CD. I cannot save it on the CD because it won't let me burn from the hardwire gives me the same burning error message. Thanks for all your help so far really appreciate it.

You should have the option to save you current firmware to your hardrive first before you update it have a look in the options for saving it?
