There is no way in heck that you could bring that aboard with you on plane as a carry on without being scrutinized. You've got a sketchy looking black box with bunch of wires running out of it. And why didn't he use rechargeable D batteries =S jeez common sense.

huh...thats cool, although i wouldnt make one of those especially cause i dont have any enclouser of any kind, and not really creative. As with cheap 3rd party battery there are cheap, crappy, dangerous, and overrated. But not always, I had one of those from DX but it was a lower mAh and it was way overrated.

I'm quite concerned that they claim it was allowed on board two flights to Australia. I'd like to know which airline let them do that.

ROFL good luck going thru the airport with that thing, TSA will automatically think you are a bomber if they will see that thing.

Nice idea - but how much does it weigh with 8 d cells?
Better off just buying a couple of extra psp high capacity batteries with the money the materials and duracells for this thing would cost you. MUCH smaller and lighter too.
Sure, 3 psp li-ions won't last for 20 hours, but would you ever play psp for 20 hours straight?
