Does anybody have the TEAC P-11 or Casio Thermal printer?

The thing I want to know about these printers is how many sections of the disc can it print on? Is it 100% smudge and smear proof? It says in the description "Add up to 6 lines per input field" what does this mean? I just want to know more about this machine before I buy one. Any help would be great!

Here is a disc i done using the Casio it's just a basic title printer it wont do custom labels like an ink jet disc printer.I like it for thermal disc because it is much neater than my hand writing and is water and smudge proof.

I have the Casio CW-50 and love it. I use the Taiyo Yuden shiny silver cd-r and dvd+r media and the results are awesome for simple but great looking thermal images, i have even printed some simple graphics and they looked pretty cool. The one you have there is the CW-100 which is essentially the same as mine except the cw-100 unit will rotate the disk automatically if you do multiple areas which is a big plus because lining up the letters straight can be tricky. I do have a few pointers that will help out:
1. Use only smooth media like "thermal" media or in my opinion the TY shiny stuff works great even though it is not marketed as "thermal" printable.
2. When you print try to print as large as the software will allow because if you print small you are still using the same amount of ribbon because the machine will advance the ribbon and better get more bang for your buck, IMHO...

P.S. the casio can do 4 areas but again use smooth media with no ridges or bumps it will distort the image/text....

Here is another pointer someone posted to get more prints out of the ribbon cartridge and it worked.

Everytime you open and close the tray it seems that it moves the ribbon. So to solve this it would really help to set it on 'manual open'(click tools and it will give you this option) so it doesn't eject the tray whenever you're getting ready to print. I try to do my discs one after the other. Also, they have the latest application software at casio.com and SAMS has the ribbons for $4.37 each.
