Hi, does anyone have a guide for installing the Kalyway 10.5.1 leopard osx86 OS? I tried just booting from the dvd I burnt and I pushed f8 and typed -vanilla and it loaded, I have 3 partitions, one with XP, one with Vista and one formatted with FAT32 and I erased using the disk utility and erased it as a Mac OS Extended Journaled. Then, I customized the installation. I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 Laptop with an intel centrino duo chip with sse2 and sse3 so when I customized, I selected the vanilla kernel at the top, then I selected the sse2 system and then under video card, I selected the nvidia laptop one for laptop nvidia cards. I have a 7300 nvidia. then there were no sound card drivers that matched mine so I didnt install any of those drivers nor the drivers for the network adapter because it said that it was for the wifi on the p5k asus motehrboards. Then I selected MBR instead of guid. I dont know what difference it makes but I recognized MBR and I imagine that that means it will write over the master boot record, I have the acronis os selector activator disk handy for if it goes wrong. If it installs, I imagine by pressing f8, I would be able to choose which partition to boot from like the JAS Mac os x 10.4.7 that I had tried before. Anyway, I tried installing and at the end, when it reboots, I just get a screen with a blinking cursor thing on a black screen. Nothing boots. But luckily I always save my self with the acronis os selector. I have tried 3 times and the same result each time. Please help, tell me where I went wrong or refer me to a good guide that worked for you. Thanks
