I'm looking for some good games to play with my friends, but I have no idea what to get. I don't like games based on real wars.

try Guitar Hero 2, best 2 player guitar game ever, also tekken 5 dark resurrection,granturismo 4 if you like racing with your friends.

here are some alternative 2 player games:

Burnout Revenge
TimeSplitters
SoulCalibur II or III
NBA Street Vol.1 or 3 "great fun game "

Need for Speed is pretty good also you can try sports games like Fight Night or MLB the Show...Simpsons Road Rage is one of the best
