MVSPSP problem

Hi,

I have a PSP slim with 3.90 M33 firmware and have the MVSPSP 2.3.1 slim emulator working. When I boot up the game it takes over 3 or 4 minutes to load and when it does load the lag is terrible. I have looked at a few videos on You Tube to compare the load time and have seen that it normally takes under 20 seconds to load. Does anyone know why this is?
