I have had repeated failures at 73% of capacity on Shintaro brand 4X printable DVD-R. Shintaro DVD-R 4X non-printable are OK. Other brands (Verbatim, Ice) appear OK. But I have a spindle of these discs I don't want to (can't afford to) throw them out. Speed of burn seems to have no impact on result.

I have a P4 2.6G, 1GB RAM, Sony DRU-510A using DVDShrink 3 & Nero 6.0.0.23. I updated the burner firmware (to 1.0d) and had a couple of successes but have just had a another failure at ..... 73% !!!

Why always 73% ???
