Hello, Friends:

Probably my problem has already solved before but I hope you can help me anyway.
I was given a SONY DW-U10A DVD burner that I have already installed replacing an old HP CD-Writer 8200 Plus. My new burner works as an external device, like my old burner did, attached to my laptop through an USB cable. I have installed Windows XP Professional SP1 on a Compaq Armada M700 (Pentium 3, 850MHz).
I have been using Nero 6. Installation was ok. My laptop reads CDs and DVDs from my new burner but when I try to burn them I can not do it. I try everything I know: reinstalling Nero 6, installing other software, downloading and installing ASPI drivers. But still I get the same problem. I have tried for example erasing a CD-RW and all I got is a Write Error and the name of my DVD burner, no more details about that error.
When I had the HP burner I got an underrun error because that old burner did not support any protection but this new Sony burner does, so I do not know what is going wrong now.
I hope someone can help because this is driving me crazy. If you need more details about my hardware configuration, just let me know.
