A quick question regarding this as i'm not sure. If i have the tv set to 1280 x 768 at 70hz and i play a 1080p movie on it obviously maximized to fit on the screen, will it actually produce a better picture than a 720p version?

From what i can see i think the picture appears to be clearer but wanted to check that it wasnt just my mind playing games. No point using 1080p if there is no reason to considering hard drive space.

Thanks in advance

Jamie

If the native resolution on your tv is 1280x720/1024x768, I'd watch the movie at 720p.
