Hey, I have just ordered some Double Layer DVD + R discs to make some backups, notebaly, Smash bros brawl. And I just noticed whilst browsing around there are Dual Layer and Double Layer...

So I checked my order and they are Double Layer..

Did I just drop £8 on crap?

They're the same thing. Dual Layer, Double layer, and DVD-9.

The only thing to worry about is if they weren't made by Verbatim.

There is a difference . . .

For some reason, Dual Layer refers to DVD-R DL, while Double Layer refers to DVD+R DL

If your Sony discs are made in Singapore, they're the same as Verbatim (MKM)

It's good that you made your order last night

It's bad that you haven't gotten it yet . . after all, it is less than 24 hours later

??????????

Made in Singapore == Grade A
Made in Taiwan == Grade B (a distant second)
Depending on your burner and configuration, the Riteks will either be great, good, okay or a pile of manure

I'm scared....when I get it I'll have to check where it came from when I get them (should be by thursday of this week). I have the most awesome quality of American Gangster (HD DVD) and sadly none of my discs can hold this one file and I'm kind of glad I didn't split it up because I'd rather burn onto one dvd than 2.
