hi im trying to burn an avi file using nero 7 ultrakeep getting burn failed heres the log can you help me thanks kirriejim

Firmware is programming that is inserted into a programmable memory area of your drive, thus becoming a permanent part of a drive. This 'software' is called firmware and can be updated with a firmware flasher. A firmware upgrade can add new functionality to your drive. Also bug fixes and improvements are done by firmware upgrades. It also adds more media codes and write strategies to the drive to improve burning capabilities and disk recognition.
Use better media....... Taiyo Yuden is the best (IMHO) or you can find Verbatim in the stores if you don't want to buy online! Stay away from the Verbatim made in India! check labels and make sure!
if you are using Nero... sometimes Roxio/Sonic can interfere with Nero burning DVDs. Uninstall Roxio/Sonic.... use Roxio Zapper after the uninstall: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

Consider the AVI file that you are trying to convert to DVD! if Nero is having a hard to reading the file:
