I'm finding lots of unneeded info on the net about underground software and methods of ripping all six channels from the .aob files of the AUDIO_TS folder. But I don't need that kind of quality and it seems overly complicated.

All I want is like I did with my recent purchase of LedZep's The Song Remains the Same DVD where I just ripped the Dolby 5.1 off the .vob's from the VIDEO_TS folder using DVDdecryter...into six discrete channels that I could do what I want with, including using just the center channel (which was just bass, drums, and vocals) to play guitar along with like a professional backing track by the actual Led Zeppelin.

But when I try to do the same thing with the .vob from the DVD-audio version of LedZep's How The West Was Won, I find that DVD Decrypter and VirtualDub-MPEG2 can't read the information correctly. I know my PC has the correct drivers for it because I can play the disc in PowerDVD and it says up in the top right corner that it's playing in "5.1".

Is there a way to rip the lower quality audio of the VIDEO_TS .vob into six discrete channels? I think I read that the DVD-audio consortium isn't nearly as protective about this lower quality audio. Thanks.

I have an Audigy 2 on a Athlon 2800+ XP PC.
