Yeah it does work..

Either find the games that have already been converted to EBOOT or if you have .img files which are PSX game you'll need a program to convert it called popstationGUI.. get v3.00 as its only 610KB and its great I converted the Die Hard Trilogy anf it works great on the psp.

but remember that not all games work, you may need to wait for the popsloader plugins to come out first. i was on 3.90 m33-2 but went back to 3.80 m33-5 when i couldnt get my resident evil 2 to work.
