I was looking at a new hard drive on xbox-modchips.com and it says that "No need to setup just drop this in your Modded Xbox and LOCK". Now when it refers to modded xbox does that mean hard modded or soft modded. If it refers to hard modded can i still lock the hard drive even with a soft modded xbox?

Man you are all over the forums aren't you. I've answered this elsewhere. It refers to chipped xbox's only. No you can't put an unlocked HDD in your xbox and have it lock it. In the procedure for creating a HDD for a softmodded xbox you have to include the eeprom file which has the information to match your HDD to your motherboard. The last step of the procedure locks the HDD with the correct eeprom file from you eeprom. Either chip your conole and then any unlocked HDD will work, or follow the procedure I gave you elsewhere to create a HDD for a softmodded console.
