Ritek G03 only burns at 1x?

I recently bought some Fugi 4x media which turned out to be Ritek G03 when I read the manufacturer from DVD Decrypter. For some reason the Nero software (that came with my Pioneer A06) only allows me to burn at 1x. The speed selection is greyed out. I know that G03's are rated to burn at 2x. Is there any way I can force it to burn faster?

You can under different firmware (well you can force them to go at X2 on my Pioneer 104).

I persoanlly only ever buy Ritek G04 now , as they dont cost a lot more and give excellent results (no coasters to date at maximum burn speed)
