Did a search and couldn't find anything about this DVD. Has anyone successfully backed it up? When I put it in my computer it is listed as 15gb, at least twice as large as most. The files are odd -- e.g., 3 copies of vts_01_1.vob, 2 copies of vts_08_0.ifo (which are 1gb each), etc.

My normal procedure is to copy the files to my hard drive, then shrink them. Occasionally when I have problems copying files, I'll use DVD Shrink directly on the disc instead but it gave me an "invalid file structure" message, probably due to the odd files!

Have been backing up for years and this is the first time I have had this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
Karen in New Hampshire

Hi Karen. I personally have not backed this one up yet, but let's venture a guess or two. :)

As i'm not sure of your normal process, allow me to ask some questions.

What is your normal process? What are you using to rip to your HDD?

Make sure you're proggies are updated.

Try doing Main Movie only if nothing else is working.

Utilize clean up programs such as FixVts or VobBlanker.

Never underestimate the possiblity of a bad press.
