Hi
i open up my Nero startsmart click on the rip and burn tab the pc application then burn video disc then dvd-video files click on add and my download folder come up but the media files avi that i want to burn are not there. what am i doing wrong?

You need to use Nero Vision to convert those AVI files to DVD first before you can burn them as DVD-Video.

Hi Pryme_H

i want in to Nero vision 5 click on make DVD then DVD-video it tells me select this option to make a high quality DVD-video.that can be played back in most DVD players the DVD-video plug-in has been detected and installed on your system.your video files will be automatically converted during the burn process. when its done try to play it on my panasonic DVD recorder.i get cannot play. on my PC and my xbox 360 it will play. am i doing something wrong again? this is my first time using Nero 8 ultra edition

What blank media did you use? Also, what'd it say on your player when you inserted the disc?

i am using memorex DVD+r rw recordable 16X.4.7gb.120min it tells me read/play/noplay have used these in the past when i was using roxio and cyberlink with no trouble.in Nero vision 5 make DVD should i try editable DVD? to see if that will work.
