Ok, so I am running out of ways to fix my burner. I recently installed Nero 8 to try and see if that program worked any better. The answer was know, but here is the log that keeps occuring.

Hello.

Disc Manufacturer ID: <CMC MAG>
The media you're using, manufactured by the low cost supplier CMC Magnetics, isn't helping the cause. I'd go with Verbatim in the future.

16X is too fast a burn speed especially for this media. Try 8X or even 4X with this media and see if that helps.

You might also try creating just the ISO image and then burning that image with ImgBurn (free).

Ok, so tried slowing down. Did that before, but still came up with problems. This last time I was able to burn the disc, but it did not successfully verify and then Nero 8 keeps crashing when it verifies the discs so I wasn't able to get the log.

Similar thing happened when i used Sonic, but without the crash. Here is the data from that.

Ok,

I've taken your advice Laddyboy and tried making and image and then burning the image using ImgBurn. Unfortunately that has failed as well. I'm about to go Office Space on this stupid burner. Guess I'm just going to have to buy a new one.

Have you tried actually playing the burned disk. It appeared to burn, it just didn't verify. I've had disks that didn't verify that played back correctly. You could install your burner on another system and see if it works OK there. If not, it likely is time for a new one. I'd also try some better media like Verbatim and see if that works better. CMC Mag media can be a disaster at times. There's a reason why most around here would never recommend using that particular media.
