What is the best DVD +R or DVD -R for a PS2 scph 300003

hey,
I have softmodded my PS2 with the memory card exploit and i am using CogSwap V1.0 but i have burnt my backup of GTA San onto a DVD +R using Rivisions 8x and it will not load and i have used the slidetool, the PS2 will just speed up and slow down all the time and then just stop. doesnt it mean that my PS2 does not read DVD +R or it is something else?

I used +R disc for my fat ps2 and they work fine so my guess is media or burn speed for your error. Have you tried other games? I never heard of rivisions disc so maybe they are the problem. Try the better brand media like Taiyo, Verbatim, or Sony and see if you still have the problem. If you do then maybe your ps2 won't read +R disc and -R is the better way to go.

yeah i think my PS2 only takes DVD -R and i burnt my Resident evil Outbreak using DVD Decrypter x1 and it was fine worked like an orignal no stutters jumps etc but when i burn GTA San Andreas it would stop stutter and wouldent even get past the R logo then i tried x2 same then x4 and still the same but i tried x6 and it worked but my fan it speeding up and the laser is moving much faster is that bad?
