DSTT won't work with certain types of DSL?

I've had my DSL ever since it was released. Yesterday I received DSTT, which didn't work on my DS. I tried it on my original DS and it just freezes in the warning message, and in my DSL, it doesn't recognize and it acts as though there is no card inserted. I went to college today and I asked a friend to check it out. By coincidence, he had also received his DSTT yesterday. His DSTT works just fine in his DS, but when he inserts my DSTT, it freezes like it does in my original DS. However, I tried using his DSTT, which works just fine, and it also didn't work on my DSL, which leads me to believe that my DSL probably doesn't support DSTT. Any thoughts on this?
