I recently bought a laptop online with Windows 2000 installed. When I start it up it asks for a user name and password. The user name is there but I need a password to start the OS. Is there a way to bypass this or reset a password? I do not have an OS boot disk so I cannot go the route of re-installing. Any info would help. Thanks.

Try this free shareware program, someone else in this forum use it to reset his computer login password. Maybe it will work for you too.
