Whenever I play bf1942 mods such as battlegroup 42 or Forgotten hope 2 on Battlefield 2, my monitor shuts off but the pc is still on. Also, sometimes, while i am playing BG42, the game just shuts down automatically, and goes to the desktop and my desktop turns all blue. Is this a video card problem? Here are my specs:

Motherboard: P5P800S
Sound Card: Sound Max
Ram: 2GB
OS: Windows XP
Video Card: ATI Radeon X1950 PRO 512MB AGP 8X
CPU: Pentium D 3.2 GHZ

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Does your monitor physically shut off, or is the screen just blank?

Looks like it is going belly up on you. It could be time for a new monitor.
