Hi, I am hoping someone can shed some light here for me.
I am sure everyone knows what the default hideous "welcome screen" on Windows XP looks like? Well I have this problem, on my account (lets call it My-Account) it takes forever to log off, once logged on, however on another account (lets say Account-2) it takes a few seconds.

In detail;

I am using My-Account, and I want to now log off, I press Start>Log Off, great it now starts to log off, I see the screen saying "Logging off..." and then 2 seconds later it says "Saving your settings..." like it should do, but the problem is, its on this message and "saving my settings" for like 30 seconds, sometimes up to a minute, however on Account-2, the logging off process takes altogether a period of 5-10 seconds, sometimes only TWO seconds, what is wrong with My-Account, and how can I find out what's different on My-Account from Account-2?

All thanks in advance, kind regards, Blu-ray.

its probably because "My-Account" is clogged up with programs you installed, loads of documents/music etc etc.. go through it with a few cleaning apps, Ccleaner and the type.. try uninstalling the programs you dont use..

I do not think that is the problem, because all the apps installed on My-Account are also installed on Account-2, also I have no spyware (I know, clean regularly, and get HijackThis tests done regularly).

Could it be the registry?

could be, use Ccleaner registry cleaner, or a cleaner of your choice, to see if it speeds it up...
