WMP 'Not responding'

Whenever i open WMP 11, it stops responding.
When i double click a media file it will open, but as soo as i pause, fastforward or try to go to the library it freezes again :(
Any idea what might be causing it?

Uninstall from add/remove programs. Download a fresh copy.

Or try system restore. Go back to the time before the issue started.
