Taito Paddle Compatibility with DS Simply/Real

I did not see this question posted previously. So does the Taito paddle controller that comes with the Japanese Space Invaders and Arkanoid work with the DS Simply or the DS Real?

I have found a source to order the paddle and would like to be able to use it with either of the two carts

There is no reason why it would not work, though as i have not got the paddle I cannot test it.
