Hi, yesterday I download something and when I open the file it got a virus and now my desktop shut down every 5 min o so and later goes blank. Anyway, the only way that I could turn on/off my pc is by pushing the turn on/off button. Any suggestion to fix the problem?

Please help me!

You will need to boot up in safe mode first of all.
Hopefully you have AV software and Adaware installed already.

Once booted up in safe mode, run a system scan with any and all spyware / AV program you have currently installed.

If neither of these detect or clean then open up your system registry.
Start --> run --> regedit

Edit --> find --> type in runonce It's important that you know what should and shouldn't be in this folder. Delete the values of anything in these folders. Chances are if you simply delete what's in these folders you aren't going to hurt anything.

Once done with the first one hit F3 to autosearch to the next runonce folder. And repeat the delete process.

Reboot and see if this helps.

My AVG found that I have JS/virus downloader.agent and trojan horse BHO.DGP.

How do I remove it?

Did any of the prior suggested fixes help at all? If your PC shuts download every 5 minutes, how were you able to run a 30-45 minute scan using AVG?

If you still need help. Download HijackThis version 2.0.2. Open HJK. Click, do a system scan and save a logfile. Post the log here for review.
