Hey guys!!! How do you install Frostwire in Ubuntu 7.10 through the command line?

Also, which is better? Frostwire or Limewire and why? Thanks!

Exact same question posted in three different places across the net... Looking up other threads you've started here, this isn't the first time either. I would have offered to help you, but I'm starting to get the distinct impression from you that you're impatient and unwilling to learn for yourself.

The Opera question is almost an exact duplicate of this just with a different program name, if you can't work it out for yourself then maybe Linux isn't for you. Asking the same question that you should already know the general solution to across three different forums wastes a lot of peoples time unnecessarily...

osmick is it against the law to post in 2 different forums that HAVE NOTHING to do with each other? I can post in as many forums as I like and theres nothing wrong with that since these forums ARE NOT the same forum. its not illegal, and its not breaking of forum rules. do you go around and check what people do over the net? is that all you do with your life???

if you cant be a real man and help others, then this forum isnt for you. asking the same question in 3 or 3 million forums helps since if i get an answer from one forum, i can close out my question in the other, instead of relying on one forum with possibly no answer. again, TO REITERATE for your EDUCATION, theres nothing wrong with asking the same question in 2 or 2 million different forums.

some advice: stop looking over people's shoulders because it makes you look like you lack a life... and i'm saying this not to make you look bad but as a tip in life.

taurusx77 Instead of getting all hot and bothered, Searching before posting is actually a very good suggestion, for example i'll wager that "Frostwire Ubuntu command line" would see you right in google..

I have to agree with creaky on this one. Before asking some stupid dumbass questions and annoying the hell out of people (who answer in their free time) try using Google ffs. The best questions to ask are when you have a good search (i just entered creaky's suggestion and got 34000 hits) and read what those search throw up at you, and then actually tried them!!! then come back and ask when you have problems.

I am a full time *nix user, learnt how to use it by googling when i had issues, if i was stumped then i asked a pertinent question with background to what i had done up to that point. I am by no means an expert, there is still so much i have still to learn, but it depends where my interests take me. I would hate to see you trying to get flash working on a 64bit distro LMFAO!!!

I wasn't trying to be an arsehole, it was a case of the first thing I ever do when I see a question asked here is get on Google to either find a solution if it is unique and I am unsure, or find a link to a previous solution. Looking over your shoulder isn't what I was doing; you asked for help, I was going to help, and in doing so discover that people's efforts (including my own previously) are being wasted. The multiposting rule is enforced here, but for your EDUCATION it is just common courtesy to observe it across the rest of the net. TO REITERATE I was offended that my time was being wasted.

The Linux community isn't massive as you may have noticed, and you put a very heavy and unnecessary burden on it by having multiple people do the same thing for your own selfish end. A bit of patience and willingness to learn would get you a long way.

I guess if I don't have a life, I'll stop wasting what little of it I have trying to help you.

Actually there is.. I am an admin on one of the sites you spammed around. It works faster to just ask once in ONE place and wait for a reply. Honestly it's such a n00bish question I don't really think most serious users would bother to respond with more than a
or use the FAQ..
If people just shrug then either THINK which distro you are on and use the forums for that distro.. or feel free to try somewhere else.

Now as to your problem...

How to install ANYTHING in ubuntu.

As for attitude.. welcome to linux world.. we don't give a s**t what you use.. we are 1337 with 5KI11Z.. get some or carry on paying for your software ;)

im a newbie person and being impartial i got to say that taurus is correct. cuz everytime i post on one forum i hardly get an answer. when i posted in like 2 or 4 forums with the same question i get my response. its like the shotgun effect... instead of shooting a group of ducks with a rifle u shoot them with a shotgun to up your chances of hitting at least one. its the smartest thing to do.

and osmick why r u scoping what ppl do on da internet? ur like the police. let ppl freely do what they want to do if its not unlawful and immoral.

and ktulu14 why are u starting trouble with people by insulting them? taurus aint asked a dumbass question. matter of fact, that was a questions i had for this forum. i suggest u learn to respect pplz cuz u look like a person who aint got no class.

btw, taurus i noticed OBL in ur signature... r u a brova?

- Not here you won't. And smart - it most definitely isn't.

Also, you're using text speak, another reason why i doubt we'll be seing much of you around here.

like a friend in college told me one day, a brave dog is silent, but a coward dog barks.

Should've kept your racist comments to yourself, especially as you have no idea to my skin colour, which is not actually what you foolishly presumed it to be.

The problem you're having with only posting in one place and not getting the answer quickly is more likely a problem of asking in the wrong place... If you're having issues with a program with what is probably a limited user base (kmobiletools for instance, I can tell you that maybe only around 3% of linux users have it installed), you'll have much better luck asking at the forums of that specific program. Rather than randomly stumbling upon that 1/30 person who knows anything about it, you can be guaranteed that people in that forum know how to use your program, and chances are you'll even speak to a dev.

At the end of the day, the problem with posting in 2 million places is that it makes it impossible for anyone else with the same problem to locate an answer quickly through a search engine. And then once they get fed up from trawling through 2 million pages that may not have an answer because the question was asked in the wrong places anyway, they then feel compelled to ask too. And then all the volunteers do a search before answering to avoid reinventing the wheel, see "Results 1 - 10 of about 2,000,001" in Google, and don't feel the need to write a detailed description, because the question has been asked millions of times before.

To extend on an analogy of yours, using a shotgun to claim a few quick kills is nice for you in the short term, but soon enough all the ducks wise up to all the noise and fly away for good, and all the other hunters out there will be pissed at your attempts to compensate for your lack of skill... Or one of them will just turn around to shoot you and shut you up themselves (looking at you creaky).

The altecx & sircharlz doppelganger usernames have been permanently removed, hopefully the 3rd one (taurusx77) will behave upon return.

I can't believe anybody is stupid enough to still use limewire after all the mpaa/riaa prosecutions.. I won't touch it.

Anybody had any luck with Frodo c64 emulator on debian/2.6.2x kernel?
