Problems reading mail and downloading things..

I bought this laptop that had vista about a month ago. Overtime I noticed that I could never read my old/saved mail on AOL, or MSN. It doesn't show it up asif it isn't there. It also doesn't let me download music on Morpheus even though I followed the directions and configured my router. It just does the same thing as it does with the mail, Shows/does nothing even when I click on a song. There isn't a firewall blocking it either. I checked.

Since I'm capable of reading my old mail on aol using the search option, can read my old msn msgs too, and can download music from the same place with ease all on my desktop which is XP, then that just leads me to wonder if my laptop can't do any of this because its Vista?
