I've been looking into using the daedelus N64 emulator on my PSP slim, but i still cant get it working.I downloaded the file from HERE, as i understand that the R13 will not work on slims.
I copied the folder into my PSP\GAME150 folder, and changed the Game folder homebrew option in the recovery menu to 1.50 Kernel.

After doing this, the emulator will run through the game menu, and will even let me select a ROM, but when i press X to start the ROM, it freezes for about a minute or so (and the MS light flashes alot), then the screen goes black and nothing happens. From here, if i press HOME to exit the game, then select yes, it freezes and i have to totally reboot the PSP.

I have only ever run the DGEN megadrive emulator before, but this worked straight away, all i had to do was copy it to a folder in my GAME file.

Any ideas on how i could get this to run? I'd like to be playing Goldeneye and Super Smash Brothers if possible.

Also, and a totally unrelated level...does anyone know if its possible for me to get my username changed at all?

thanks,
IBIZAGTI

the n64 emulator is terrible on slims. there is shitty sound and only just about 1 game doesnt lag, super mario 64. :(
if you still want it to work, then download the version for fw 1.00, that one works on slims.
put it in the game 150 folder, but keep the folder in recovery to 3.71

thats what i did to make it work.

i have no clue if you can change your name

my magical psp journey thing:
slim (+[__]%): 3.60 > 3.71 > 3.73 > 3.80 > 3.71m33-2 > 3.71m33-4 > 3.80m33 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-2

The N64 emulator is unplayable on any psp slim of FAt. the reason being because there is only one person working on it. i dont expect there to be a working version for a very long time

Thanks for the move Binkie...apologies for posting in the wrong forum to begin with! Also, as a mod, do you have any idea about the name changes in my first post?

So it seems the N64 emulator is unworkable right now...hopefully someone will get it working soon!

Thanks Everyone!

Even I'm waiting for a full-speed n64 emulator :)
Hey but well, I'm no hacker but I do have an idea of an n64 emulator :P
*Dunno whether it is possible, but well no harm sharing the idea*
*It's juz an idea and I dunno how to make softwares and all*

Well, I was thinking that to make a full speed n64 emulator, why doesn't any1 add a plugin type of thing to the PSP that will work something like "pops" :) [It's "pops" & not "popsloader" :P]
Then make a software that uses the plugin and that loads the ROM so that the game can work fast :)
OR make an external application that extracts the ROM (Like Simple popstation for the psx to PSP conversion) and makes it friendly to the PSP and make an application that runs these types of files for the PSP :)

As I said before, it's juz an idea :)
What do you guys think about it ??? :)
Please dun shout at me if you find this idea lame -_-

*Why do I take it all ??? Why do I beg for more ??? I never thought that this is how I Hit The Floor* Bullet For my Valentine darn rulez !!!! \m/ ^_^ \m/

No worries ibizagti on the move thing :)

Hmmm for nick changes you can try contacting the admins through the feedback link the bottom of the page or through pm. I know they've changed a few but I don't think it's an easy task on their end - not 100% sure.

Ah rite, I'll leave it then, its not a big problem anyway, not worth putting bothering the admins for if its going to be a difficult job...Thanks for the help anyway!!
