i've looked at a lot of other threads and none are detailed enough to explain to me putting ps1 games on the psp. i have MGS as a .psx file. i used a program to convert it to .pbp and make a keys file. i put the .pbp file and the keys into a folder and put that into the GAME folder. it appears as Hot Shots Golf 2 and when i select it, it says its corrupted.
please help

i was looking at the .psx file because i hadn't seen it before and found this which say that you have the game save for mgs. you need the disc or a iso to have the game.

Google search popstation gui. that program allows you to convert and install directly to your psp. Also let's you customize the eboot. It accepts PBP,BIN,ISO and IMG files. Also make sure you download the 3.80 popsloader from dark alex's site.

Did you make the eboot with popstationgui. and when you start it for the first time it should give you a choice of what firmware. If you made it and transfered it from popstation gui you have to choose original from flash. To change your choice on what firmware press triangle when selecting the game.

i had a look round for converter and couldn't find any thing because its in a save file you cant convert it to and iso thats why nothing will work because they only support iso,bin and img file types because there all know was of storing a psx disc.
the only thing you can do is rerip the disc to a iso,bin or img
or if you downloaded it your a bit stuffed and will have to do it again as a iso
but i have double check and there are now converters (still as far as i know) that support .psx file
sorry i can be any more helpful with this but its come to a bit of a dead end 0_<
